Jeroboam’s Big Mistake - How Israel Began Worshiping Idols

In this episode of Wonderfully Made: Bible Stories for Children, we learn what happened in the northern kingdom of Israel after the nation split in two.

King Jeroboam became afraid of losing power, so instead of trusting God, he made two golden calves and led the people into idol worship. Sadly, many of the kings who followed continued in sin. The Bible says they did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.

But God did not stay silent. He sent prophets to warn the people and call them back to Him.

This powerful Old Testament story teaches children about fear, leadership, obedience, and trusting God instead of idols.
