While Dagney is making her deal with a villain, we turn back to the ground. Rainbow Chaser, the superhero with powers that are even harder to use well than Fish Out Of Water's, is being chased by a superpowered snot rhino. The only person there to help him is, well, Fish Out Of Water. Hopefully they can find someone with a superpower that doesn't rely on external circumstances...

Oh no! Is Dagney betraying the Weirdos? Find out what happens aboard Mrs. Pawnson's invisible jet. (Seriously, what kind of "save the endangered animals nonprofit" has an invisible jet?)

As we fast-forward out of Jules' flashback to present time, we've got a bit of a longer episode for you today. Speaking of Aquaman... wait, was someone actually talking about Aquaman? Oh no -- we are! Gaffer Sam is punishing us for missing an episode by making us... compliment... this "hero." Later, in the episode, we find out what happens when a Binary Consolidated AI takes over a nuclear submarine with 3 kids on it!

PART 1 of the explosive 2 part season finale of Just Us Weirdos Season 1! Lots of people say things like "explosive finale," but we mean that literally here. And also figuratively! Come to think of it -- the figurative explosions will be more earth-shaking than the literal ones. Figuratively speaking, of course. But don't worry: there will also be literal explosions!

She gets a mini-lecture on the economics of superheroics, and encounters some troubling ideas about the value of a person relative to their superpower ... or their bank account. Is this really the way the world works?

The Weirdos are looking for a villain! Graphene has discovered that Fish out of Water seems to be a lackey for Mrs. Work, and Baninja has learned that Bernie Conners is really a superhero named Boa Convictor. Together with ITGirl, they turn their attention back to Mrs. Work to discover if she is really a supervillain.

The post Issue 12: Spies Just Like Us appeared first on Just Us Weirdos.

Bernie Connors has the ability to make people believe ANYTHING he says -- as long as it's about a superhero! After a young girl injures herself by trying to copy a hero Bernie made up, he gives up the extravagant life of a comic book writer for the life of a superhero -- with the power of lying.

As Graphene and ITGirl go to confront Fish Out of Water and Mrs Work (disrespectfully and respectfully, respectfully), Baninja decides to look into Quadropolis reporter Bernie Connors. Baninja suspects he is being used by a mind controller. But will Baninja be able to hold on to his own memories?

The post Issue 10: Mind My Own Business appeared first on Just Us Weirdos.

Remember that cliffhanger from 2 issues back? Shall we wait another issue to resolve it? No? Ok, then let's dig in to our fledgling superhero team figuring out the next steps. Baninja is sure he has the best idea for a way forward, but so does Dagny. For that matter, Ameenah thinks her idea is pretty good as well.

So they do what every horror movie has taught them to never do: they split the team. This issue tracks Ameenah as she follows up on Jules "Fish Boy" Jones, and on Dagny as she prepares to confront her mother: Gwennifer Work.

The post Issue 9: Brainwashing, Boy-Fish, and Binary, Oh My appeared first on Just Us Weirdos.

Not every superhero has powers that come from a science experiment or nuclear accident. Sometimes, an origin story is more unusual. More illogical. More… spooky.

On this episode, we’ll travel back in time to the moment when Ameenah Amparo received her superpowers. These powers have made her into the superhero known as Graphene. But the powers did not come for free.

The post Issue 8: The Secret Origins of Graphene appeared first on Just Us Weirdos.

Kirby "Baninja" Kuromoto finds the memory-wiped tweens Dagny and Ameenah on the playground at their school. His goal is to remind them that they are superheros -- but he might not be able to do it without insulting them first! Hopefully Butlerbot's manners can keep them in line.

The post Issue 7: Trust Me, You’re a Hero appeared first on Just Us Weirdos.

Dagney and Ameenah have had their brains erased, and they don't even remember that they wanted to be superheroes! But Baninja is on the case. Listen as he and Butlerbot track the weird fish-boy to Binary Towers and heroically cling to truth!
