What was the first toy?

Did you know that kids have been playing for thousands of years? Long before tablets, video games, or plastic were even invented, children had awesome toys! Join Mira and Finn as we travel back in time to discover what the very first toys looked like. You won't believe it, but kids in ancient Egypt played with wooden paddle dolls that had real clay beads for hair! And ancient Roman children played a game just like marbles, but using smooth walnuts on marble floors! Have you ever wondered where the yo-yo came from, or who rode the very first rocking horse? We will tell you all about it! Plus, we uncover the amazing true story of how a United States president who refused to hunt a tied-up bear gave us the most famous stuffed animal in the world—the Teddy Bear! From 5,000-year-old spinning tops to ancient clay hot wheels, you will be amazed to see that kids from history loved to play just as much as you do today. Get ready to dig into the fun history of toys!
