Drawing Dragons - A Mindful Bedtime Story for Kids
Joey can see the perfect dragon in his head, but when the one on his paper doesn’t match, he gets mad and decides the whole thing is terrible. His mom helps him see that a drawing can be bad without him being bad—and that maybe the whole drawing isn’t bad after all. Joey finds one part he wants to keep, grabs a new piece of paper, and tries again.
Hey parents, here are 4 ways to build attachment as you listen to the story together:
1.) Do the arm movements with your child.
2.) Settle in and show your child what still looks like.
3.) Model the dragon breathing technique for your child.
4.) Tell your child about a time when something you made didn't work out.
