Surviving Top Chef Canada & Running Vancouver’s Best Kitchens with Felix Zhou

Ever wonder what it takes to face the heat on national TV and run world-class kitchens? On Episode 33 of Join the Fray, 10-year-old host Fraser sits down with Vancouver Executive Chef Felix Zhou (Top Chef Canada, Fire Masters) for a delicious behind-the-scenes look into the culinary world!

Chef Felix shares how a childhood dream of becoming a police officer turned into a high-flying culinary career, what it’s actually like having TV cameras shoved in your face while cooking under a ticking clock, and the surprising test Michelin-star chefs use to test new cooks (hint: it’s all in the eggs!).

Plus, he breaks down how to tackle tough ingredients like bitter melon, the secret to creating new restaurant menus and essential advice for any kid dreaming of becoming a top chef!

Stick around for rapid-fire questions covering beaches vs. mountains, chopsticks vs. forks, and sweet vs. salty!
