A bedtime story for children. In Emma's room, there is a little nightlight shaped like a mushroom, with one tiny round button. Today, for the first time, Emma is allowed to turn it on all by herself. She brings her finger closer, she hesitates, she pushes. Click. A soft, honey-colored light grows in the room, like a little sun waking up. Emma is so proud: all by herself, like a big girl.

At bedtime, Mom gives her the lighthouse kiss and tells her that it stays lit all night long, even if the nightlight falls asleep. Emma falls asleep with Mochi, her lovey, and the little honey-colored light close beside her. Then the Evening World wakes up: the nightlight becomes a little moon, the rug a soft island, and Mochi says good evening to Pantin, Ball and Nina, as he does every night.

But tonight, the little moon blinks, once, twice, and goes out completely. The nightlight is having a little mood. In the dark, Ball bounces every which way, and Nina can't see her paws anymore. Mochi stays calm: "Look closely. The dark isn't alone tonight." On Emma's forehead, the lighthouse kiss glows even better in the dark, like a little star. And through the window, behind the curtain that breathes, the real stars appear: one, then another, then one more, so tiny. Ball stops bouncing. The dark isn't so dark, after all.

This story about a nightlight helps your child with taming the dark, not by running away from it, but by looking for the small lights that are still there. Mochi says it simply: the dark is just the light hiding a little, so other lights can shine. A gentle first step for little ones who are starting to notice the night.

Mochi opens his Cuddle Box and picks the cuddle from the very first evening the nightlight came on, the very first "pretty, pretty." He winds it around the little fear of the dark. And just then, the nightlight lights back up, all on its own, as if it had only dozed off for a moment. "Welcome back, little moon," says Nina. Pantin falls asleep in the middle of a story about the real moon, back in his day, Ball gives one very last calm boing, and the poc-poc slows down. In the morning, Mom opens the curtains: good morning, little sunshine, good night, little stars.

No one laughs at Ball for bouncing in every direction, and Pantin simply tells Nina: I'm here. Then Mochi answers with something you can see, a kiss that glows and stars at the window, instead of a long speech: this way of meeting a small fear with something concrete and gentle is the whole spirit of Tilibou bedtime stories. And if the nightlight flickers again one day, that's all right: the stars never go out completely.

A screen-free lovey story for children from age 2, perfect to enjoy warm and cozy at bedtime, in the car, or before a nap. As always with Tilibou, the ending stays soft and quiet, without music, so your child can drift off to sleep without waking anyone up. 🧸
