GT140 - Burpalot and the Vomit Comet

Free Goop Kit: help your child create their own Goop. Get it here: gooptales.com/kit

Burpalot is the cheerful Goop who burps the loudest burps in all the land. When he enters Goop World's first Big Shine Contest, he gulps a whole can of grape soda, and his burp is so big it blasts him into the sky. He lands inside a giant airplane where everyone floats, and he discovers he isn't the only stowaway on board.

Kids will learn about the real Weightless Wonder, nicknamed the Vomit Comet, which flies out of Houston, Texas, near where NASA trains astronauts. They'll find out how the plane climbs and dives to create about twenty-five seconds of weightlessness, sometimes sixty times in one flight, and how scientists tested whether cats can land on their feet with no floor to push against. Along the way, Burpalot learns that the thing that makes you different can be exactly what connects you to someone new.
