The Story of the Opal

In The Story of the Opal, a little Sunbeam slips away from the Sun's golden ladders and hears the birds whisper about a Moonbeam, a creature the Sun's servants are forbidden to know. With the help of a lovesick Nightingale, he longs to see her, but one touch could end her. As clouds gather and ladders weaken, the two must find shelter before dawn, while a lonely, ordinary white Stone watches and listens beneath the old oak.
