A Legend of the Gentian

A Legend of the Gentian tells how a plague-stricken Hungary found its cure. Thousands of poor people fall ill, and messenger after messenger begs good King Ladislaw for help, but he has nothing to give them. Alone and troubled, the king prays for a sign and shoots an arrow into the sky, trusting heaven to guide it. Where the arrow lands, a humble plant waits with an answer for his suffering people.
