The News

"The News" is a short poem that turns the first signs of autumn into a quiet announcement. Katydids and crickets sing it beneath the trees, asters seem to spell it out with their blue eyes, and the corn sighs it as it sways in the sun. Each image carries the same gentle message, and together they capture the wistful, golden mood of a summer slipping away into a new season.
