Vaccarella

Vaccarella is an Italian fairy tale following Maria, a kind-hearted girl sent to tend a cow after her stepmother schemes to push her out of her father's life. When the stepmother heaps impossible tasks on Maria — spinning, weaving, sewing — she confides in the cow, Vaccarella, who turns out to be enchanted. But once the stepmother discovers the secret, the cost is devastating. Armed only with a golden ball and quiet determination, Maria must navigate cruelty, a royal festival, and a prince who cannot forget the radiant stranger who keeps vanishing from his sight.
