The Pot of Marjoram

"The Pot of Marjoram" follows a merchant's youngest daughter whose modest request — a pot of marjoram — costs her father a fortune and earns her sisters' bitter envy. When they destroy her treasured herb, she flees into the night and, guided by a fairy, disguises herself as a man to brave a dark forest alone. There, she overhears two bears reveal the only cure for a dying king of Persia — a secret that demands both courage and sacrifice to act upon.
