Monsu Mostro

Monsu Mostro is an Italian fairy tale in which a poor father strikes a desperate bargain with a strange underground creature, promising one of his daughters in exchange for wealth. When the youngest daughter bravely volunteers, she finds herself managing a mysterious palace — and eventually winning a prince. But a forgotten gift causes grotesque horns to sprout from her head, and only by returning to Monsu Mostro, however cruelly he treats her, can she uncover the remedy hidden all along in her own hands.
