Scioccolone

Scioccolone is an Italian fairy tale about the youngest of three woodcutting brothers, mocked by everyone as the great simpleton. When he stumbles upon three sleeping women and builds them a shelter from the blazing sun — while his brothers walk away laughing — those women turn out to be fairies with gifts to give. What sets Scioccolone apart is how he uses those gifts: not with ambition or cunning, but with the same unhurried, honest instinct that made him stop in the first place.
