St. Matthew dropped his tax booth the instant Jesus said "Follow me" — then threw a party so his old friends could meet Him too.

A tax collector despised by his own neighbors, Matthew left everything the moment Jesus called him, then hosted a banquet inviting his old crowd of "sinners" to meet Jesus. When religious leaders objected, Jesus explained exactly why He'd come.

"I have come to call not the righteous, but sinners."
