Barnyard Thoughts

"Barnyard Thoughts" is a cheerful Thanksgiving poem in which a very contented pig leads his fellow farm animals in song. The pig, ducks, and cow take turns proclaiming why city life would never suit them — no mud to dig in, no pond to swim in, no green meadows to graze. Their voices merge into a gleeful barnyard chorus, each animal certain that the farm is exactly where they belong and that they will never, never leave.
