A Dear Little Schemer

"A Dear Little Schemer" is a delightful Christmas poem about a small girl who decides her own tiny stocking simply won't do for Santa Claus. With cheerful cunning, she swaps it for her mother's much larger one, settles by the fire, and drifts off to sleep. Come morning, she wakes to a stocking brimming with gifts — and has a perfectly logical explanation ready for her parents, delivered with irresistible charm.
