Christmas Gifts

"Christmas Gifts" is a short Christmas story about ten-year-old Jack, who is too poor to buy presents but discovers that time and kindness can be the most meaningful gifts of all. Guided by his mother's words about Jesus, Jack sets out to give away hours of help and company — splitting kindling for grumpy Aunt Jane, reading aloud to blind Mr. Green, and brightening the long day of bedridden Willy Brown. Each act of giving unexpectedly brings Jack as much joy as those he serves.
