Mrs. Santa Claus

"Mrs. Santa Claus" opens on Christmas Eve as Santa departs with a sleigh packed full of gifts — but three dolls are left behind. Quietly and without fuss, Mrs. Claus saddles the lame reindeer Blitzen and rides through the snowy night to find the children who need them most: a girl with only an apple in her stocking, a pale child sleeping in a bare cold room, and a tiny newspaper seller standing alone in the street. She asks for no credit and keeps her adventure entirely to herself.
