The Golden Cobwebs

"The Golden Cobwebs" is a Christmas legend that explains the origin of tinsel with quiet enchantment. While every creature in the household — the black cat, the grey kitten, the dog, the canary, even the timid mice — steals a glance at the decorated Christmas tree, the little spiders are swept from every corner during the holiday cleaning and miss it entirely. Heartbroken, they appeal to the Christ-child, who secretly lets them creep through the house at night to explore every branch and twig — with consequences that transform the tree forever.
