A Doll’s Christmas Party

"A Doll's Christmas Party" is a warm Christmas story about two sisters, Marjorie and Elizabeth, who throw a carefully planned party for their dolls and the dolls' young "mothers." Holly-bordered tablecloths, candy-filled stockings, and handmade place-cards set the scene, but it's Trixie the dog who steals the show — first chewing off a doll's foot, then dragging Teddy Bear under the sofa during the festivities. The story captures the breathless anticipation of Christmas Eve and the particular joy of childhood imagination made ceremoniously real.
