The White Fur Coats

"The White Fur Coats" is a short children's story where Bennie and Bunny Rabbit greet the first snowfall with excitement, slipping into their white winter coats to play outside. Their mother warns them clearly: no throwing snowballs at others, or the white coats come off for good. For a while, the siblings behave — until the strutting, feather-hatted Jackie Rabbit walks past and proves too tempting a target. Two snowballs later, all three young rabbits face the same consequence, learning that pride and disobedience carry a real cost when the snow is still on the ground.
