The White World

"The White World" is a short story following Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal Bird, who wake one morning to find their familiar green world blanketed in something cold and white. Frightened and hungry, they don't know what snow is or whether the world will ever return to normal. With help from Robin Redbreast and the unexpectedly kind Grandmother Sparrow, the Cardinals learn not only how to weather the storm but that shared hardship can soften even the most difficult neighbors.
