The Story of the Silver Box

The Story of the Silver Box is a short fairy tale following Hans and Nella, two orphaned siblings whose small act of generosity toward a mysterious stranger sets something magical in motion. When the old man vanishes overnight, he leaves behind a silver box — and burying it in the garden causes an enchanted tree to sprout, concealing a tunnel that leads to a mountain of gold. But Hans and Nella's choices about what to take reveal as much about their character as the magic itself.
