The Forest Friends and the January Thaw

The Forest Friends and the January Thaw is a free online short story for children following Finn the Fox, Will the Wolf, Barbie the Butterfly, and Matilda the Mouse as they spot the first signs of spring breaking through the January snow. Excited but not quite ready to let winter go, the four friends hike to the highest mountain peak for one last snowy adventure — complete with a surprise snowball ambush, a sled race, and a campfire under the setting sun.
