The Lazy Penguin

The Lazy Penguin is a short story set in the icy wilderness of Antarctica, where Joe the penguin proudly does nothing while his fellow penguins march through harsh conditions to care for their young. Content with lounging on the ice, Joe dismisses their efforts — until a chance encounter with Lily, a sharp and graceful penguin, forces him to take an honest look at himself. Stung by her words, Joe must decide whether comfort and idleness are truly worth the loneliness they bring.
