Uncle Wiggily And The Sycamore Tree

Uncle Wiggily And The Sycamore Tree is a delightful children's short story following Uncle Wiggily Longears, a kindly rabbit gentleman, as he walks young Nannie Wagtail the goat girl through the woods to a mouse party. When the buttons keep falling off Nannie's brand-new shoes one by one, her hopes of dancing the fish hornpipe seem lost — until Uncle Wiggily spots a sycamore tree heavy with round seed-balls that look just like buttons, and sets to work with a thorn needle and grass thread.
