Uncle Wiggily And The Sorrowful Crow

Uncle Wiggily and the Sorrowful Crow is a short story following Uncle Wiggily Longears, a wealthy rabbit gentleman who is ordered by Dr. Possum to stop lounging and start adventuring again for his health. Setting off in his delightful auto — complete with a turnip steering wheel and a horn that moos — Uncle Wiggily encounters Mr. Caw-caw, a perpetually gloomy crow convinced that disaster is always just around the corner. When the auto breaks down, his fears seem justified, but help arrives in an unexpected form.
