Uncle Wiggily Helps Alice

Uncle Wiggily Helps Alice is a short story in which the old gentleman rabbit, Uncle Wiggily Longears, comes to the rescue when a skillery-scalery alligator crashes through Alice Wibblewobble's window and snatches her entire box of hair ribbons just as she is rushing to get ready for Jennie Chipmunk's party. Left without a ribbon and nearly in tears, Alice turns to Uncle Wiggily, whose calm, creative thinking saves the evening — though whether the alligator faces any consequences remains to be seen.
