Uncle Wiggily And The Crawly Snake

Uncle Wiggily and the Crawly Snake is a short children's story in which Uncle Wiggily, a travelling rabbit, rests in the shade while his elephant friend fetches ice cream cones on a sweltering day. Mistaking a creeping shape in the bushes for the elephant's trunk, Uncle Wiggily nearly becomes a snake's lunch when the creature coils tight around him, squeezing the breath from his body. With the elephant away and danger tightening its grip, the rabbit's cheerful adventure takes a genuinely frightening turn.
