Uncle Wiggily And The Bluebell

Uncle Wiggily and the Bluebell is a short story following the old gentleman rabbit as he hops through the woods in search of his fortune. Armed with his striped barber-pole crutch and a polite word for every creature he meets, Uncle Wiggily takes advice from a toad, a tailor-bird, and a gentle bluebell — before a mysterious voice in the grass lures him down a far more dangerous path. When a bumblebee's warning sends him fleeing in panic, he finds himself lost as darkness closes in around him.
