Uncle Wiggily And The Snow Drops

Uncle Wiggily and the Snow Drops is a free short story by Howard R. Garis in which the old gentleman rabbit accompanies young Susie Littletail into the woods to gather flowers for her school teacher. Along the way, Uncle Wiggily picks a bunch of modest white snowdrops — flowers Susie dismisses as dull. But when a mischievous tail-pulling monkey leaps from behind a rock and seizes Uncle Wiggily by his long ears, those plain white blossoms turn out to be exactly the right thing to have on hand.
