Uncle Wiggily And The May Flowers

Uncle Wiggily and the May Flowers is a short story that follows Uncle Wiggily Longears, a rabbit gentleman, and Jimmie Wibblewobble, a young duck, as they venture into the woods on the first of May to gather wildflowers for Jimmie's teacher. Along the way they discover violets, bluebells, and a Jack-in-the-pulpit — until a menacing ear-scratching cat steps out from behind a stone with his claws ready. What saves Uncle Wiggily is a flower more powerful than it looks.
