Uncle Wiggily And The Dogwood

Uncle Wiggily and the Dogwood is a short story following Uncle Wiggily, a kindly old rabbit gentleman, as he sets out through the woods one afternoon on an errand for his housekeeper, Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy. When he discovers that Jackie and Peetie Bow Wow never made it home from school, he goes searching — only to find two hungry foxes hot on the puppy boys' trail. The chase leads to a flowering dogwood tree, and what happens next is as surprising as it is delightful.
