Uncle Wiggily And Susie’s Dress

Uncle Wiggily and Susie's Dress is a short story featuring Uncle Wiggily Longears, a kindly old gentleman rabbit, who agrees to escort young Susie Littletail through the woods to a duck-girls' party. When Susie slips into a muddy puddle and ruins her beloved new dress, Uncle Wiggily faces a woodland crisis — no amount of leaf-rubbing can fix what the mud has done. With a bear possibly lurking nearby and a party waiting, he must think fast to save the day.
