The Tale of Two Turkeys

The Tale of Two Turkeys is a short Thanksgiving story about Submit Thompson and Sarah Adams, two best friends whose playful bet over whose family turkey weighs more takes a dishonest turn. Desperate to win Sarah's beloved doll, Submit secretly hides stones in her turkey's crop — and wins. But when Sarah arrives on Thanksgiving morning in tears to hand over the doll, Submit's guilt becomes too heavy to bear. What follows is a quiet reckoning with honesty and the unexpected warmth of being forgiven.
