Jim’s Surprise Halloween Party

"Jim's Surprise Halloween Party" is a short story about a young boy stuck at home on Halloween night with a bandaged foot and no company, while the rest of the world seems to be celebrating without him. As the hours drag on and loneliness sets in, Jim tries books, games, and even sleep to make the time pass faster. Then, without warning, the door flies open — and everything changes. A warm, quietly moving story about what it means to truly belong.
