The Nine Halloween Letters

The Nine Halloween Letters is a short story in which nine costumed children gather in a moonlit town square, each carrying a carved letter that spells out "Halloween." One by one — from Harriet the laughing witch to Nate the shining knight — they step forward to claim their letter and share what it stands for, weaving together owls, pumpkin lanterns, apple bobbing, and moonlit witches into a playful celebration of the holiday's spirit. The story builds with warmth and gentle humour toward a final chorus the whole group recites together.
