Uncle Wiggily And The Pumpkin

Uncle Wiggily and the Pumpkin is a short story following Uncle Wiggily Longears, a quick-witted old rabbit who sets off in his automobile with Johnnie and Billie Bushytail to find a pumpkin for Mrs. Bushytail's pies. After a generous gift from Grandfather Goosey Gander, the journey turns dangerous when a savage wolf bites a hole in their tire and threatens to eat them. Uncle Wiggily hatches a clever plan involving the biggest pumpkin of the bunch — and the wolf never sees it coming.
