The Kind Old Oak

The Kind Old Oak is a short bedtime story about trust and quiet protection as winter closes in. When a cluster of small violets growing at the foot of an ancient oak tree fear they will not survive the coming cold, the oak makes them a promise — and keeps it. Leaf by leaf, it tucks them safely beneath a crimson blanket while snow and ice rage above. The story follows this tender bond between the fragile flowers and their steadfast guardian through the long, cold months.
