Uncle Wiggily And Nurse Jane Go On Holiday

Uncle Wiggily And Nurse Jane Go On Holiday is a short story following rabbit gentleman Uncle Wiggily Longears and his flustered muskrat housekeeper, Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy, as they escape to a cozy birch-bark bungalow in the woods. Nurse Jane, long out of touch with country life, is startled by every unfamiliar sound — a sheep's bleat, a turkey's gobble, a cow's moo — sending Uncle Wiggily hopping back from his woodland adventures each time. Warm and gently comic, the story builds toward a knowing wink that more surprises are still to come.
