The Tree

"The Tree" by Emilie Poulsson follows a proud tree standing alone in a green field as it faces the quiet anxieties of each new season. When frost threatens its tender buds and wind eyes its blossoms, the tree must plead for more time — trembling through each stage of growth. The central tension builds gently toward a moment of pure generosity, when a passing girl arrives beneath ripened branches and the tree offers everything it has.
