Little Maid Hildegarde

Little Maid Hildegarde is a short story about a young girl whose long-awaited dream of seeing five legendary knights is shattered when illness and injury keep her family homebound on the very morning they ride through town. Faced with disappointment, Hildegarde quietly sets aside her own heartbreak to care for her mother and father. But as sunset colors the church spire gold, something extraordinary appears through the Enchanted Wood — five horsemen, silent as stars, riding past her door.
