Sweet Porridge

Sweet Porridge is a short fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm about a poor girl who receives a magic pot from an old woman in the forest. The pot cooks delicious porridge on command, saving the girl and her mother from hunger. But when the girl is away and her mother forgets the magic word to stop it, the pot keeps cooking — and sweet porridge spills through the kitchen, floods the house, and pours down the entire street toward the rest of the town.
