Uncle Wiggily And The Big Dog

Uncle Wiggily and the Big Dog is a short story in which the old gentleman rabbit, travelling with a kind elephant, finds himself in serious danger after spotting a large black dog in the woods. Convinced the dog means harm, Uncle Wiggily bolts down the path — ignoring urgent warnings — and tumbles straight into a deep lake. With no way to swim and the water rising around him, his only hope rests with the elephant, who has just returned carrying ice cream cones for them both.
