Uncle Wiggily And The Black Cricket

Uncle Wiggily and the Black Cricket is a short story about a discouraged old rabbit who has lost hope of ever finding his fortune — until a small, irrepressibly joyful black cricket hops into his path. When a fearsome skillery-scalery alligator leaps out to eat them both, it is not strength or speed that saves them, but something far more unexpected.
