Uncle Wiggily And The Lory

Uncle Wiggily and the Lory is a playful short story in which the kindly bunny gentleman sets out from his hollow stump bungalow one morning, hard-boiled eggs in pocket, and chances upon a sharp-billed Lory bird in need of something tough to grind its beak against. A small act of generosity sets the stage for what follows: a scheming spider weaves an unbreakable web around a sleeping Uncle Wiggily at the alligator's request, leaving the bunny helpless and waiting for something — or someone — to arrive before the 'gator does.
