Uncle Wiggily And The Lobster

"Uncle Wiggily and the Lobster" is a free short story by Howard R. Garis in which Uncle Wiggily Longears, a kindly rabbit gentleman, heads to the seashore hoping for an adventure. He frees a Lobster tangled in seaweed and agrees to escort him to a quadrille dance. The trouble is, lobsters always walk backward — and neither of them notices until they've been heading the wrong way for far too long. A warm, gently comic story built around a single clever misunderstanding and a surprisingly useful dinner guest.
