Uncle Wiggily And The Gryphon

Uncle Wiggily and the Gryphon is a short story in which the cheerful rabbit gentleman Uncle Wiggily agrees to escort Alice — yes, Alice from Wonderland — to find the fearsome Gryphon, a creature so strange and ugly he hides behind a veil. Their walk through the woods takes a dangerous turn when a billion-million biting mosquitoes swarm in to trap them both. With no talcum powder bean-shooter in sight, Uncle Wiggily and Alice have nowhere to run — until an unexpected rescuer swoops in from above.
