Uncle Wiggily And The Chicken-pox | Stories About Being Sick
The story revolves around Uncle Wiggily, a kind rabbit gentleman, and his encounter with Charlie and Arabella Chick, two young chickens who are distressed because a boy has been throwing stones at them. Trying to help, Uncle Wiggily devises a plan to teach the thoughtless boy a lesson. When they find the boy asleep in the forest, Uncle Wiggily uses sticky pine gum to attach chicken feathers to the boy's hands and face, making him appear as if he has the chicken-pox. Upon waking and seeing his appearance, the frightened boy rushes home and vows never to harass animals again. This imaginative tale highlights the importance of kindness, understanding, and the humorous consequences of one's actions, ultimately teaching a valuable lesson about empathy and thoughtfulness toward others.
